About this Event
Open agentic AI is here — and it is moving fast.
OpenClaw, an open-source autonomous AI agent, became the fastest-growing project in GitHub history with over 247,000 stars in 60 days. It runs on your laptop, connects to WhatsApp or Telegram, and autonomously does things on your behalf — browsing the web, drafting emails, managing files, running tasks — without being asked twice.
Join us at the Texas Innovation Center at UT Austin for an interactive hybrid evening bringing together Austin-based founders, UT researchers, and tech practitioners from Southeast Asia — all around one theme: AI that actually works in the real world.
What to expect:
— A short talk from a UT Austin AI researcher on open agentic AI and what tools like OpenClaw mean for startup builders right now
— A live demo of an autonomous AI agent doing real tasks in real time, including tasks suggested by people in the room
— Practitioner lightning shares from Austin and the Philippines — what founders and tech leads are actually shipping with AI, the lessons learned, and where they think it is going
— A hands-on team activity where you design your own AI agent skill — no coding required
— Open networking with a cross-border audience of founders, researchers, and industry professionals
This event is hybrid. Austin attendees join in person at TXiC. Participants from the Philippines and Southeast Asia join live on Zoom.
