About this Event

AI is rapidly transforming life sciences, healthcare, and consumer health—but the hardest challenge isn’t innovation in the lab. It’s translating deep science into scalable products that create real-world impact.

This panel brings together leaders at the intersection of AI, genomics, biotech, and product commercialization to explore how breakthrough research becomes durable companies, platforms, and systems that people actually use.

From family health intelligence to AI-native drug discovery and live-cell analytics, our speakers have built and led at every stage—from national labs and big tech to venture-backed startups.

What We’ll Discuss

  • How AI is reshaping consumer health, cancer research, and drug discovery
  • Moving from research, models, and prototypes to real products and platforms
  • What it truly means to build AI-native bio and health companies
  • Key lessons from scaling teams, data systems, and scientific innovation
  • Practical insights for founders, operators, engineers, and researchers

Panelist:
is the CEO and Co-Founder of Trellis Health, a consumer AI company building the private Generational Health OS — a real-time platform that reconstructs more than a decade of family medical history from 50,000+ provider sites in under a minute.

A population genomics scientist turned operator, Estelle helped grow Illumina’s high-throughput genomics business to $400M ARR and launched products used by over 20 million people, including foundational work in methylation aging scores and multiethnic genomic tools. She is a DOC Fellow, a founding member of Brydge Club, and a leader at the intersection of genomics, consumer health, and AI.
Trellis Health previously raised a $1.8M pre-seed round from Palette Ventures, Swizzle Ventures, NextBlue Ventures, founders of Flo Health and Care.com, and AI leaders from ARM, Microsoft, and Oracle/Cerner. The company is now raising its Seed round to establish Trellis as the default OS for family health and at-home care.
is the founder of Polybiomics and a science and technology executive whose career spans engineering, AI-enabled biosystems, and translational cancer research. At Polybiomics, she leads the invention and innovation of the first technology capable of measuring 16-channel live-cell data simultaneously and continuously. Under her leadership, Polybiomics has produced a patent-rich portfolio of more than 50 inventions along with a modular biosystem for polysensing-during-imaging that transforms live-cell intelligence into actionable insights for effective medicine. The company was recognized as a Top 20 BioTools Innovator and expanded to Washington in 2024.

Mandana’s prior work across Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, Xerox-PARC, and the University of Washington has produced breakthroughs in biomaterials, biosensing, and cancer heterogeneity profiling. Her clinical research at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center on the development of Tumor Paint and an in vivo drug-screening device catalyzed the spinoff of Blaze Bioscience and Presage Biosciences, where she served as engineering co-founder of the latter. Mandana’s multidisciplinary contributions include over 25 commercialized inventions, 30 peer-reviewed publications, and extensive mentorship and service on advisory councils and boards.

Selected for both the U.S. and German Frontiers of Engineering symposia of the National Academy of Engineering, she continues to push the frontier of next-generation life science tools and AI-driven cell analytics.
is the Co-Founder and CEO of Clockwork Bio (effective January 2026), an AI-native biotech company building a next-generation high-throughput “lab-in-the-AI-loop” platform to automatically learn disease mechanisms at scale, beginning with oncology. The company is currently raising its Seed round, with active discussions underway with potential lead investors.

Before founding Clockwork Bio, Shane served as Vice President of AI and Machine Learning at GSK. During his tenure, he scaled the AIML organization from 12 to more than 80 scientists and contributed to the company’s overall growth to nearly 200 AI professionals. He led the development of industry-leading active learning systems, DNA/RNA foundation models, and LLM-based agent architectures that accelerated drug discovery pipelines across multiple therapeutic areas.

Shane has previously held technical and leadership roles at Zume, Microsoft, Lumiata, Shutterstock, Netflix, and multiple early-stage startups. He holds an MS in Computational and Mathematical Engineering from Stanford University and a BA in Molecular Biology and Mathematics from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Moderator:
is a Senior Product Manager at Apple, where she leads platform-wide commerce AI initiatives..
She brings deep expertise in product strategy, customer research, and data-driven decision-making, with prior product leadership roles at Amazon and Apple Media Products.
In addition to her industry work, Ke is a mentor at Product Manager Accelerator, where she coaches and develops early- and mid-career product managers.
Her background spans technology, consumer platforms, and public-sector research, giving her a rare ability to bridge business strategy with real-world user impact. Ke holds an MBA from Georgia Tech and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan.
