AI can reduce workload and support better planning, but only when it is used with the right boundaries.

For educators and school leaders, the challenge is not simply learning how to use AI. It is knowing where AI can genuinely improve productivity, what information needs to remain protected, and where professional judgement must stay with the educator.

This practical AI training for educators and school leaders provides a calm, hands-on space to explore responsible AI use in education. Designed for school leaders, teachers, TAFE and university educators, and education support staff, the session focuses on practical ways to use AI for lesson planning, administration, content development, research, and everyday workload management.

• Explore practical AI use cases for education: Identify low-risk ways AI can support lesson planning, administration, content development, communication, and everyday workload.
• Identify appropriate boundaries: Understand what information should and should not be entered into AI tools, particularly when working with student, staff, or organisational information.
• Apply a responsible AI integration checklist: Use a practical framework to assess whether an AI use case is appropriate, useful, and safe.
• Practise reviewing AI outputs: Learn how to check AI-generated content for accuracy, relevance, bias, context, and suitability before using it in an educational setting.
• Build an educator AI practice plan: Turn the session into a practical plan for integrating AI into selected areas of your role.
• Plan for next-term implementation: Create a simple checklist to help you move from experimentation to responsible, practical use.

No prior technical or AI experience is required. This is a practical professional development session designed to build your confidence in AI literacy, responsible AI use, education technology, workload efficiency, and AI integration in education.

• 14+ days before: Full transfer to another session or course credit (less platform fees). Refunds are at WA AI Hub’s discretion and may incur an admin fee.
• 7–13 days before: Transfer or credit only, subject to availability. No cash refunds for change-of-mind.
• Less than 7 days before: No refunds, credits, or transfers for change-of-mind. Exceptional circumstances considered at our discretion.
• No-show/Partial attendance: No refund or credit is provided, except as required by Australian Consumer Law.

Substitutions & Changes

• Substitutions: Permitted up to 24 hours before the session. Please provide attendee details in writing.
• Organiser Changes: If we cancel or significantly reschedule, you will receive a full transfer, credit, or refund per Australian Consumer Law.

Our services include guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. Platform fees may be non-refundable if retained by the third-party provider.
