About this Event

AI Is Entering Clinical Practice. Are You Prepared to Use It Responsibly?

AI is moving into healthcare faster than most clinicians have time to evaluate it.

Your patients may already be using ChatGPT for medical guidance. Vendors are making increasingly ambitious claims. Colleagues are experimenting with AI for documentation, research, patient communication, and clinical decision support. Meanwhile, clinicians are expected to determine which tools are useful, which are unreliable, and where the risks may be hiding.

Trying to navigate this alone can feel overwhelming. A convincing AI response may still be inaccurate. A poorly designed prompt can produce misleading information. An inappropriate workflow can create privacy, ethical, or professional concerns. Ignoring AI entirely can leave clinicians and practices unprepared for changes that are already underway.

AI for Clinicians is a practical workshop designed to help medical professionals move from uncertainty to informed, responsible action.

In-person and virtual ticket options are available. MDs and DOs may earn up to 6.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this two-day workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the current AI landscape in healthcare and its implications for everyday clinical practice
  2. Construct effective prompts for large language models using clinical scenarios and real-world applications
  3. Evaluate AI tools and vendor claims using evidence-based criteria and practical due diligence frameworks
  4. Interpret data from wearable devices and integrate relevant findings into patient care conversations
  5. Navigate clinical decision support tools with a critical understanding of their benefits, limitations, and workflow impact
  6. Build a basic AI agent designed to support a clinical or administrative workflow
  7. Recognize the ethical, legal, and privacy considerations specific to AI use in healthcare settings
  8. Develop a personal AI adoption roadmap aligned with your clinical role and practice environment
