AI for All: What It Means for Your Dental Practice
About this Event
Ontario dental practices go free. Use code DENTALFREE at checkout.
Your front desk misses a call. That patient calls the next clinic. You never see the number.
According to the American Dental Association, 43% of U.S. dentists already use AI, and another 26% plan to. Canadian practices should understand the funding available before the market moves further ahead.
Canada is spending billions to push business AI use from just over 12% today to 60% by 2034. Most practice owners have heard nothing about it.
This session covers what is actually in the strategy, which programs sit under it, and who qualifies. We will be straight about who does not. The eligibility thresholds are real and many practices will not meet them. Knowing that early saves you time.
Then we get practical. What happens when a business puts AI into daily operations. What holds up, what breaks, and what it costs to run. For a dental practice, the lifetime value of one patient makes a single missed call expensive, and we can put real numbers against that now.
Plain answers from people running AI today. Bring hard questions. The useful part is usually the argument.
What you will leave with
A plain explanation of the AI for All strategy and the programs under it.
An honest read on which funding options fit a practice your size, and which do not.
A way to treat AI as a capital allocation decision rather than a hype purchase.
The workflow question that separates AI pilots that reach production from the ones that die.
Who this is for
Dental practice owners and practice managers in the Greater Toronto Area. Clinicians and office managers, not technologists. No technical background needed.
Speakers
Qasim Naqvi, Partner at Strategy&, delivers a 30 minute masterclass, The AI Gold Rush: Where Is the Value? AI is real, but value is not guaranteed. Start with the business and its constraints, let evidence determine conviction, and build the discipline to stop funding what does not work.
Laura Scarlett Martin, an external consultant contracted by BDC, covers the funding and support options that make AI adoption more affordable for small and mid-sized businesses. She will be straight about eligibility.
Lawrence Zhang, Head of Policy at ITIF's Centre for Canadian Innovation and Competitiveness, joins the panel to argue that higher AI adoption may still fail to deliver productivity gains. Workflow redesign, he says, separates the pilots that reach production from the ones that die.
Mohit Rajhans, media personality and speaker, moderates the panel.
