About this Event
Most kids already use AI. They talk to it, ask it questions, and let it do their homework. But very few of them actually understand how it works or know how to build something real with it.
AI Explorer Camp is a one-week, in-person summer program in Coral Springs, FL for kids ages 8 to 14. Students spend the week learning how AI actually works, then use that understanding to create a real project they take home on Friday. We're not teaching kids to copy-paste from ChatGPT. We're teaching them to think critically about AI, use it as a building tool, and develop the kind of problem-solving habits that will serve them no matter where technology goes next.
What the Week Looks Like
Each day builds on the one before. Monday, kids explore what AI can do and pick a project track. By Tuesday, they're building. Wednesday and Thursday are for improving and polishing. Friday is the Family Showcase, where students present their finished projects to parents and family. The whole arc is designed so that even a child with zero tech experience on Monday has something real and finished by Friday afternoon.
Monday: Explore what AI can do, try quick demos, pick your project
Tuesday: Start building your project with guided support
Wednesday: Iterate and improve (this is where the real learning happens)
Thursday: Polish, test, and prepare for the showcase
Friday: Family Showcase. Parents are invited to see what their kids built.

Who Designed This
AI Explorer Camp was built by two people who bring very different skill sets to the table. Shawn is a VP of Engineering with 18 patents and over 20 years in the industry. Ramona is an executive coach and author who specializes in the human skills that AI can’t replace: critical thinking, creativity, and communication. The curriculum reflects both perspectives. Our advisory board includes middle-school educators, technology professionals, and child development specialists who review everything we teach for safety, age-appropriateness, and rigor.
What We Teach (Three Pillars)
Creating: Every student completes and publishes a real project. It could be a game, a story, a song, a book, a solution to a real-world problem, or whatever their curious mind comes up with. The point is that they make something real, not just answer a quiz.
Thinking Critically: Kids learn to question AI outputs and iterate on their work. They drive the AI, not the other way around. We want them leaving camp knowing how to evaluate what AI gives them, not just accept it.
Staying Safe: All tools are age-appropriate and privacy-compliant. Our staff is background-checked. We’re insured. Parents can trust that their child is in a supervised, thoughtful environment.
