Experts from the University of Michigan will discuss how AI is being deployed in local governments and the results of the Detroit Metro Area Communities Study.

Dr. Mara Ostfeld is an associate research professor at the University of Michigan's Ford School of Public Policy and a faculty lead at the Detroit Metro Area Communities Study. Her research focuses on public opinion, race, and political attitudes.

Molly Kleinman, PhD is the managing director of the Science, Technology, and Public Policy program at the Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan. She is a tech policy researcher with expertise in responsible AI, tech justice, and community engagement.
