AI and The Workforce: Engaging Employees Through Responsible Design

The future of work is rapidly evolving as artificial intelligence (AI) is integrated into various business processes. Through this interactive conversation, we will explore how AI can be responsibly designed and implemented, strongly focusing on employee stakeholder participation. We will examine the principles of design science research and Responsible AI. This presentation will provide a framework for engaging employees in the Responsible AI culture, highlighting best practices and strategies for meaningful participation and collaboration.

About our speaker:

Dr. Elizabeth M. Adams is the CEO of EMA Advisory Services and an award-winning pioneer in Responsible AI. With a distinguished career as a Senior Executive, she is renowned for her contributions to the field of AI ethics and governance. Dr. Adams is a sought-after keynote speaker and lecturer, known for her pragmatic approach that helps executives navigate the complexities of AI with authenticity and purpose.

She has been featured in numerous publications and has delivered keynote speeches worldwide, emphasizing the importance of ethical and inclusive technological innovation. As a trusted advisor, Dr. Adams collaborates with leaders and organizations to align their goals with Responsible AI practices. She is also an accomplished author, having written four children's books, including “Little A.I. and Peety,” which addresses safe technology use for children. Currently, she is working on her upcoming book, “The Worker and Artificial Intelligence” which explores the intersection of AI and the workforce.

Metro State University College of Business and Management offers student-centered undergraduate, graduate and continuing education programs in the Twin Cities metropolitan area and beyond.

The newly renovated Management Education Center in downtown Minneapolis—serving both Metro State and Minneapolis College—officially opened its doors in December after a $22.5 million upgrade. This modern, inclusive space features new classrooms, computer labs, collaboration areas, and an audio recording lab, giving students direct connections to local businesses and professional opportunities.
