AI and Employment Futures in the Arab Region
About this Event
Join us in Madrid for a special public event marking the culmination of the CGC’s research project AI Policy Pathways for the Arab Region. Hosted at IE University’s María de Molina Campus (11–13–15), this gathering will bring together leading experts, international organizations, and diplomatic representatives to explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping the future of the Arab region, including its labor markets.
Developed in partnership with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) – Regional Office for the Arab States (ROAS), the project examines how AI may transform economies, employment structures, and skills systems across the region over the coming decade. Grounded in scenario‑building and strategic foresight, the research outlines alternative futures and identifies policy pathways to harness AI for inclusive and sustainable development.
The event will take place on 16 July from 17:00 to 18:30 CEST.
