AI Act Implementation Day 2026

The AI Act is moving from legislation to implementation. For organisations across Europe, the key question is no longer what the regulation says - but how to make it work in practice.

To address this challenge, appliedAI Institute for Europe and Bitkom invite you to the AI Act Implementation Day 2026, hosted by BMW in Munich.

This one-day event brings together leaders from policy, industry, and regulatory authorities to discuss the current state of AI Act implementation and to exchange practical experiences. The aim is to foster a growing community of practice around effective and workable AI governance in Europe.

Participants will gain first-hand insights from senior policymakers and regulators, including representatives from:

• the European Commission / EU AI Office
• the German Federal Digital Ministry (BMDS)
• the German Federal Network Agency (BNetzA)

alongside leading practitioners from industry.

The programme focuses on key developments and real-world implementation challenges, including:

• Policy Update: AI Act Omnibus & High-Risk Classification Guidelines
• National AI Act Implementation in Germany
• Governing AI Adoption inside Organisations
• Transparency Obligations under the AI Act
• Governance and oversight of agentic AI systems

Through keynotes, expert discussions, and interactive formats, the event creates space for practical insights, open dialogue, and meaningful exchange between stakeholders working on AI governance every day.

The first edition of the AI Act Implementation Day in 2025 brought together a highly engaged audience from across the European AI ecosystem. The 2026 edition builds on this momentum with an expanded programme and deeper discussions on implementation.
