ABOUT OUR GROUP
Info: AI, Archives and Museums Working Group is a collaborative initiative aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of AI within the context of cultural heritage institutions. The group is organized by Liz Call and Juilee Decker of Rochester Institute of Technology and Haven Hawley of Cornell University.
This inclusive forum provides a platform for individuals at all levels of expertise to engage with AI concepts, applications, and ethical considerations relevant to the management and interpretation of tangible collections in museums and archives. Through a combination of curated readings and presentations by guest speakers, participants will explore the fundamentals of artificial intelligence as it pertains to the humanities, with a specific focus on its application within cultural heritage contexts. Funding provided by the Central New York Humanities Corridor, RIT Museum Studies Program, RIT Archives, and Cornell University.
