AI Certificate Program

AI 101: Fundamental AI and Data Literacy Certificate

Length: Two-half day (Aug 18 & 25)

Modality: Face-to-face

Description: A foundational course that introduces participants to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence (AI) and foundational AI and data literacy. (6 hours / two half days). The course will cover concepts such as: what GenAI is, brief AI history, what it does/doesn’t do, hallucinations, bias, privacy, basic prompting, integration/adoptions levels, etc. that builds understanding and prepares individuals to increase familiarity/comfort with AI via multiple, hands-on opportunities.

The overall program will cover AI 101, 201, 301, and 401. By the end of the two-day course, participants will be equipped with practical strategies for responsibly leveraging AI to enrich their courses while preserving academic rigor and human-centered learning.

AI 101: Fundamental AI and Data Literacy (Aug 18 & 25)

AI 201: Basic AI Use (Sep 1 & 8)

AI 301: Appllication in the Classroom/Workspace (Sep 15 & 29)

AI 401: Course Design (Oct 13 & 20)
