Atlanta Horror Society’s 2nd Anniversary Celebration returns to the legendary The Plaza Theatre on May 27 for one hell of a night.
This year, AHS is diving straight into the depths of horror with our biggest anniversary event yet. Expect a night packed with screams, laughs, community, and filmmaker support. We’re bringing back our fan-favorite horror photo booth, serving specialty cocktails inspired by hellfire and brimstone, hosting giveaways, and crowning our Year-End Horror Trivia Champion.
Our main feature for the night is Evil Dead II, the wild cult classic where Ash Williams, lone survivor of flesh-possessing spirits, finds himself trapped in a cabin as demonic chaos erupts around him. The perfect anniversary movie for a crowd ready to laugh, scream, and cheer together.
A huge part of Atlanta Horror Society is celebrating and supporting local filmmakers, and this year we’re launching a brand-new annual tradition: spotlighting one standout Georgia horror filmmaker of the year with a special theatrical showcase.
Our very first Georgia Horror Filmmaker honoree is Jason Sheedy.
We are proud to present his short film "To Hell With You" before the main feature. After the screening, Jason and members of his team will join us for a live Q&A to talk filmmaking, horror, and behind-the-scenes madness.
We’ll also be supporting filmmakers from Something Wicked Films, LLC by helping them raise funds for their upcoming hellish yet demonic horror short film "Ring Out the Dead" with raffles, giveaways, and special prizes throughout the night to help raise funding for more practical FX, and a hell of a lot of fun for the project.
