Connect Through Stories.Join us for a monthly gathering where community, conversation, and wellness come together at our new Health and Wellness Book Club in Evanston. Ahimsa work/study students, Jennifer Kohrs and Ann Brownell, bring warmth, insight, and a sense of community spirit to every gathering. Our "club" is a space for Ahimsa yogis to explore books that inspire healthier, more mindful living—one page at a time.
We will meet the second Sunday of each month to discuss the agreed upon books. This month’s book: Miracle Metabolismby Thomas Tadlock, MS.
Thomas Tadlock developed the Miracle Metabolism protocol to transform his life, the lives of his family members, and the lives of thousands of his students worldwide. Here's just a sample of what you will learn in this book: ways to raise your metabolism; understand how to increase your energy; master creating a body that resists and reverses disease; get tools to lose all the fat and gain all the muscle you want.
Jennifer and Ann will also share related information from Goodbye Autoimmune Disease by Brooke Goldner, MD, Thomas Tadlock’s wife.
After our hour-long meeting, you might choose to unwind even deeper by joining the gentle, calming yoga class at 6:00 pm (please register separately). This can be a perfect complement to our conversations!
The book club is a FREE event! You must register however, and - of course - come prepared to discuss the book of the month. Whether you're a seasoned yogi, a curious reader, or looking to spark new habits, this club is for you.
