The L Project LA, partnered with the Curve Foundation and the June Mazer Lesbian Archives are excited to bring you "AHEAD OF THE CURVE";
a free screening, celebrating LESBIAN VISIBILITY WEEK, co-sponsored by the City of West Hollywood's Lesbian & Queer Women's Visibility Week.
#LVW24
This year, Lesbian Visibility Week is April 22-28, 2024.
Lesbian Visibility Week USA is powered by The Curve Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to championing lesbian, queer women, transgender, and nonbinary people’s stories and culture through intergenerational programming and community building.
The official theme of the 2024 Lesbian Visibility Week is "Unified, Not Uniform," emphasizing the importance of unity while recognizing and uplifting the unique experiences of LGBTQ+ women and nonbinary people.
This AHEAD OF THE CURVE will be presented by Rose "the Real Shot Calla" Garcia.
We'll also have a Q&A with the founders and filmmakers, plus a discussion panel moderated by Marie Cartier.
AHEAD OF THE CURVE tracks the power of lesbian visibility and community from the early ‘90s to the present day through the story of Franco’s founding of Curve magazine.
