AgVenture

What: This field trip will allow your students to explore a wide variety of agricultural stations, including plants, rabbits, poultry, dogs, cows, horses, goats, and other environmental projects. We won't know exactly which stations we will be visiting until the day of the field trip. Many of the stations are hands-on and interactive. If they have animals, they will invite you to pet them. And the goat station even lets you try your hand at making goat milk fudge and sample it afterward.
Who: This field trip is designed for third graders, but I would say if your child is near third-grade age (8-11), you are welcome to bring them.
Where: This field trip will be held in the Mosaic Arena at the Manatee County Fairgrounds in Palmetto. Please use the Gate 9 entrance and park in the grassy area. This is one of the main gates during the fair. It is located across from Bayside Community Church off of 14th Street. There will be signage to direct you where to park.
When: This field trip will take place on Wednesday, November 18th at 9:45 AM. The stations run from 10:00 AM -11:30 AM. You need to find me and check in with me first, and then we can all walk over together.
Numbers: I just spoke to Meghan, and she said she understands that most homeschool parents like to stay with their children. And that for our group that would be fine. She said the only reason she had to put a limit on the number of chaperones, is to keep the public school from bringing so many chaperones that they become a distratction.
