Agroecology: Local Approaches and Policies - Contribute to a Book🗨️ Join Our Workshop about Local Approaches and Policies to Agroecology!
Be part of the movement to transform our food system for a sustainable and just future. Learn, discuss, and take action with like-minded people!
📅 Date: 12th January 2025
📍 Location: Café Mellemfolk, 4th floor
🕕 Time: 18:30 to 20:00
We aim to create a space where participants can dive into complex subjects and discuss them together. In this workshop, you will hear more about local approaches to agroecology. 🌱
Marie from Høsteriet will explain how agroecological small-scale farming can look like. Afterwards, we will discuss policies and political demands regarding agroecology and learn why engagement matters and how to take action both at individual and collective level.
The outcomes of the workshop will be integrated into the book Marie is writing. 📖
You will therefore have the opportunity to not only learn more about agroecology but also to contribute to a book surrounding the topic.
🌿 Høsteriet is a small vegetable garden at Andelssamfundet Hjortshøj, just north of Aarhus. There they grow a wide range of vegetables, herbs, and flowers according to organic and regenerative principles.
Why You Should Join:
🗣️ Real Talk: Learn about local approaches and policies regarding agroecology.
✍️ Hands-On Activities: Discuss political demands and contribute key outcomes to the book.

Want to Know More?
Our global food system is in crisis due to profit-driven industrial practices that harm the environment, biodiversity, and marginalized communities. 🌍 Monoculture and chemical-intensive farming degrade soil and water, while social inequities persist. However, alternatives like food sovereignty and agroecology offer hope by promoting local solutions, policy reform, education, and collective action. These approaches prioritize local food production, support farmers, and advocate for fair market practices and debt relief.
Agroecology integrates ecological principles with social justice, promoting diverse farming systems and reducing reliance on chemical inputs. It values traditional knowledge and aims for social equity by empowering small-scale farmers. By embracing food sovereignty, agroecology, and the right to food, we can build a just and sustainable food system that benefits both people and the planet. 🌾
