About this Event
Join us in the garden to discover tips and tricks using suggestions from the Ohio AgriAbility program, as well as principles of Universal Design. Although AgrAbility and Universal Design* might have started in different places, advocates have recognized the similar goals and benefits for rural to urban residents – in the house as well as outside the home. Home gardeners face many issues similar to farmers just on a smaller scale.
Join us as Sandra Murphy, a longtime gardener herself, will demonstrate and explain methods to garden in a way that works with your body and keeps you feeling good in the garden. We will cover methods, tools, and tips and tricks to help you continue enjoying gardening. Whethe you are looking for modifications in the garden to due to age, injury or physical limitations, this is the class for you!
*Universal Design has traditionally been used in home design and modification with the idea that environments and products should be usable by all people, to the greatest extent possible, regardless of age, size or ability
This program will take place both indoors and outside.
