AGMC 40th Holiday Show - December 3rd 8 PM
Fri Dec 03 2021 at 08:00 pm to 10:00 pm
The Cathedral of St. Philip | Atlanta, GA
About this Event
This year the Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Their annual holiday show at The Cathedral of St Philip is always a must-see event and this tradition is how thousands of Atlantans have kicked off their holiday season for four decades. This year is extra special as the chorus performs some all-time favorites from the singers and audience alike. These favorites include Eric Whitacre’s beautiful “Lux Aurumque,” the Nigerian Carol “Betelehemu,” and Franz Biebl’s “Ave Maria,” arguably the most beautiful piece ever written for men’s chorus. In celebration of our 40th anniversary we’re also looking forward and will be premiering two new arrangements: a Hanukkah song, “Hanerot Halalu” arranged by artistic director, Donald Milton III, and a joyful and hilarious song, “Holiday Lament,” arranged by Jay Wynn. The Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus puts on the most fun holiday show in town and we can’t wait to see you there!
So that the chorus and its patrons can share in the joy of the season in person, the AGMC is keeping safety in mind and will require patrons to wear masks, and to also show either proof of full vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test in order to attend.
