AGM 2024

This year's AGM is scheduled for 20 June at the Little Ship Club in London, starting at 4 pm and concluding at 6 pm. Following the meeting, there will be a glass of wine or soft drink to network with fellow members.

We're delighted to welcome John Turner, CEO of Visit Somerset, who will be our guest speaker following the formal procedures. He will share insights from his PhD research on the implications of AI in the tourism industry.

John Turner has been leading Visit Somerset, the official destination management organisation for the county, for over 10 years. He has successfully transformed Somerset's image and reputation as a dynamic, diverse, and sustainable destination, attracting millions of visitors and working with global brands such as Tesco, EDF, and GWR trains.

During the AGM, we'll bid farewell to three esteemed board members: former Chair Kevin Kaley, Richard Denman, and Roger Goodacre, TCN Chair. They will all be very much missed, and we're actively seeking new board members to provide hands-on assistance with the Society's events, sponsorship, membership, and social media efforts.
