AGITATE Xmas Makers' Market

HO HO HO-APPY CHRISTMAS MARKET! It's that time of year again where we over-caffeinate, listen to questionable xmas tunes from the 80s, and encourage spending with wild abandon (as long as it's local). Merry AGITATE Christmas!

We've assembled a roster of wonderful creative makers, all excited to share their wares so that you can buy your presents (tick) and know you're supporting local artists with your choices (double tick). We'll provide the music, mince pies, biscuits, mulled wine, festive cheer, and a basic wrapping station - all we ask is that you come by and browse on the off-chance you fall in love with something gorgeous. This year we're going whole hog and are excited to host Gregg McNeill (DarkBox Images) - central Scotland's resident Victorian photo fanatic - in our basement/studio. If you missed him earlier in the year, this is your chance to immortalise yourself and your loved one(s) in a completely unique portrait. Tin-type photography is a beautiful process, and you'll get to take home a direct positive on a thin sheet of silver metal, irreproducible and precious.

6 William Street is a stone's throw from Princes Street in the West End of Edinburgh. The Xmas Market will be in the main exhibition space: a bright and airy open-plan space at street level. William Street boasts not one but three (!) cosy pubs, plus a variety of cosy cafes and boutique shops. It is easily accessible via public transport: a 10-minute walk from Haymarket Station, and a 2-minute walk from the Shandwick Place tram stop. It is also easily accessible via a variety of bus routes.

There is on-street pay and display parking available but this can be busy and is fairly expensive. The venue is wheelchair accessible, featuring a wheelchair lift to the lower ground floor and an accessible toilet for event/market guests.
