Joanne Stone

Joanne Stone is a dynamic leader and passionate advocate for meaningful change, specializing in Agile, leadership, and sustainability initiatives.

Since 2012, Joanne has played a key role in the Agile community, founding Wick’d Agility to harness her expertise in team dynamics, product management, and organizational design. Her ability to untangle complexity and promote effective collaboration has helped numerous teams adopt Lean and Agile, enabling them to flourish in chaotic environments.

She is in her third year leading the Agilists for Sustainability movement, driving the We Hope Magazine and the Agilists4Planet International Conference, showcasing the inspiring stories of Agilists who leverage their talents for the greater good.

Inspired by passionate leaders making a meaningful difference in our world, in 2023 she established the Sustainability Incubator Program, an international volunteer initiative that empowers local communities through a 32-hour design sprint. This collaborative effort brings together her team, community leaders and members, and volunteers worldwide to explore challenges and co-design innovative solutions.

Joanne Stone Is a catalyst for change, dedicated to helping others create a better, more sustainable world, with the power of Agility, and her expertise as an Agile, Leadership, Transformational, and Business Agility Coach.


Maruan Haidar

Maruan is a Senior Agile Coach with over 15 years of experience in transforming team/organizations through Agile methodologies. With a strong background in software development and project management, Maruan has successfully led numerous teams (technical and nontechnical) in adopting Agile practices and mindset, resulting in improved productivity, enhanced team collaboration, and accelerated delivery of high-quality products.

Maruan’s journey in Agile began at Scotiabank - International Bank System, as one of the key promoters and doers during this division Agile transformation. He quickly realized the potential of Agile frameworks in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation psychological safety. His expertise spans across various Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, TDD and XP, which he adeptly tailors to meet the unique needs of each organization.

Throughout his career, Maruan has worked with a diverse range of industries, from Semiconductors, Public Sector, Construction Services, Consumer Business, Manufacturing (Aerospace and Defense), Transportation and Financial Services finance and healthcare to technology and manufacturing. He is currently working at IGM Financial for the last 2 ½ years and prior to that, at Scotiabank for 17th years. Complementing his Agile Coaching capabilities, he brings over 25 years in Information Technology/Business Consulting; performing various roles ranking from Senior Project Manager and Senior Development Manager, Senior Business/System Analyst, Senior ERP Consultant, Data Warehouse Specialist and Developer. His ability to connect with teams, understand their challenges, and provide actionable insights has earned him a reputation as a trusted advisor and mentor. Maruan is passionate about empowering teams to achieve their full potential and is dedicated to creating environments where Agile principles can thrive.

Maruan holds several certifications, including Certified Senior Agile Coach, PSM, CSM, SPO, TKP, KPM I & II, CAL I and AH. He is also an active member of the AgileTO community, frequently facilitating and coordinating events sponsored by IGM Financial.

In his free time, Maruan enjoys snowboarding and kite surfing , reading about the latest trends in technology and real estate investments, and volunteering with local tech meetups to share his knowledge and inspire the next generation of Agile practitioners.
