Ages 14-18 Open Art Studio Experience: Spring Session (Teen)

Make art, share ideas, and hang out with friends. This 2-hr interactive art-filled gathering is a time to discuss, experiment, discover, and share with your peers. Staff will be available for guidance, feedback, and to demonstrate and share techniques. Students will have access to a variety of art supplies such as pencils, paint, paper, rulers, etc. but are welcome to bring their own sketchbook, favorite supplies, or tools they typically use or want to introduce to others. Students will also have access to other great resources such as the Art Center galleries, real talk about pursuing art after high school, and getting details on art happening in Sioux City. If you miss a date, no worries! We’ll miss you, but you will not be behind as this is not a class.

• Open to students currently in grades 9-12.
• All skill levels are welcome.
• 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.

• Studio size is limited; enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Inclement weather: At times, due to weather, it may be necessary to cancel an event or class. If a class cancelation is due to hazardous weather conditions, a makeup class will be scheduled.
• The Gilchrist Learning Center course cancellation policy: Occasionally, the Gilchrist Learning Center may find it necessary to cancel a course or workshop due to low enrollment or other scheduling conflicts. If this occurs, registered students will be contacted and allowed to transfer to another class or be refunded the full course tuition and any additional fees.

• Registration agreement statement: I understand and agree that when I register, I have obligated myself to pay for the courses and all other charges related to this registration. If registering by bank card, I authorize the Sioux City Art Center to charge my account the amount noted. If I decide to cancel my registration, I understand that the date I officially withdraw will determine the amount of refund, if any, I will receive.
