This program that lets kids get out of school and enjoy the outdoors after the bell rings. We’ll meet in the parks and wildlife preserves around Schenectady, at 4:30 p.m. on Fridays, so there’s plenty of time to get from school or home to our green locations. We’ll be there for about an hour. Activities will usually involve hunting for different plant and animal species and exploring what makes up different environments. All ages are welcome. Adults should accompany their children. Our final session before summer is on June 26, at the Fehr Avenue Urban Farm (51 Fehr Ave., Schenectady), right off State St., past a few houses and across from a cemetery. We talk about how we’re growing the plants, raising the chickens, and even operating a few bee hives. Meeting 4:30 p.m.
