Middlethorpe Hall was once the home to Lady Mary Wortley Montagu, one of the most remarkable women of the 18th century, diarist, writer and poet. She mixed with the greatest politicians, writers and thinkers of her day and was an important early feminist.
Best-selling author Sean Lusk brings the travels and times of Lady Mary to life in his new novel, ‘A Woman of Opinion’, named by the Sunday Times as ‘One of the 10 Best Summer Reads of 2024’.
