About this Event
A Casual Conversation About Quantum Fields, Reality, and the Hidden Fabric of the Universe
Join a PhD researcher for an intimate evening that explores one of the most fascinating ideas in modern physics: the universe isn’t fundamentally built from tiny solid particles, but from invisible fields that stretch across all of space with particles emerging as ripples in those fields.
This isn’t a dense physics lecture. It’s a grounded, intuitive conversation about how scientists think about reality at its most fundamental level. What quantum fields actually are, how they shape everything from atoms to forces, and why this way of seeing the universe changes how we understand existence itself. Expect big ideas made accessible, a few mind-bending moments, and plenty of room for questions you’ve always been curious about but never had the chance to ask.
Whether you’re science-curious or just enjoy thinking about how the world works beneath the surface, you’ll leave seeing reality a little differently.
Don’t miss your chance to sip, think, and connect with fellow curious adults through your After5Society.
