What Modern Neuroscience Reveals About How Your Brain Perceives Time
About this Event

A Conversation on Time, Perception, and the Way Your Brain Shapes Reality

Join a neuroscientist and science communicator for The Neuroscience of Time: How Your Brain Can Bend It, an engaging exploration of one of the brain's most fascinating and mysterious abilities. Why do some moments seem to fly by while others stretch on forever? Why does childhood feel so long in hindsight, while the years seem to accelerate as we get older? Together, we'll uncover how the brain constructs our experience of time and why our internal clock is far more flexible than we realize.

We'll explore the neuroscience behind time perception, examining how attention, emotion, novelty, memory, stress, and even our daily routines can speed up, slow down, or completely distort our sense of time. We'll also dive into why time seems to disappear when we're deeply engaged, drag during moments of boredom, and feel different depending on whether we're living through an experience or remembering it later.

This is not a traditional neuroscience lecture. It's a dynamic, interactive conversation designed for curious minds who want to better understand themselves and the remarkable workings of the human brain. Whether you're fascinated by psychology, interested in optimizing your daily life, or simply wondering why weekends vanish while waiting in line feels endless, you'll leave with a new perspective on one of the most fundamental aspects of human experience.
