This youth soccer league introduces 4- and 5-year-olds to the fundamentals of soccer in a fun, supportive, and developmentally appropriate environment.This league will have four teams:
Simcha Strikers
Mini Mitzvahs
Chai 5's
Mile-High Menches
These teams will play each other each week (e.g., Simcha strikers vs. mini mitzvahs, Mile-high menches vs chai 5's). This is part of the extended after-school care where we can pick students up from their classrooms and bring them to the soccer field.
The focus will be on:
Basic motor skill development
Teamwork and sportsmanship
Listening and following directions
Confidence building
Fun and engagement
Each week, we will focus on a different skill:
Dribbling with control
Stopping the ball
Passing to a partner
Shooting on goal
Basic defensive positioning
Understanding boundaries and teamwork
Boulder Maccabees will have a thirty-minute practice, followed by a 30-minute game. Parents are welcome to attend the entire session or join us for the 4:30 PM scrimmage each week.
