Bacano Music brings a night of Afrobeats and Reggaeton to Fort Collins! A Fusion of the Caribbean with West Africa. Fort Collins' own DJ Lalo X bringing Colombian roots to the mix. DJ Zimbo bringing rhythms from Zimbabwe. And E.M.E hailing from Nigeria raising the energy with a live afrobeat performance from his newest album. Get ready for a hot night of perreo and whine!
DJ Lalo X is a Colorado based DJ and music producer. With roots in Colombia and Colorado, Lalo grew up in a world of ancient and diverse sounds. DJ Lalo X has specialized in Reggaeton, Afrobeats, Salsa, Hip-hop, and Latin House. But his knowledge doesn't stop there, having played all types of events for the past 12 years including local city and cultural festivals, large scale latin clubs, and a wide array of parties. He has also opened for big name artists such as DJ Whoo Kid, Jon Z, and Plan B.
Hailing from Nigeria, E.M.E underwent a life-altering change when, at an early age, he found himself uprooted to Montbello, CO amidst the chaos of an ongoing genocide. Arriving with only his native language in tow, the budding star football athlete faced an unforeseen twist of fate—a career-ending global pandemic that abruptly redirected his path. In the face of adversity, E.M.E discovered a new medium to express himself, trading the football field for a microphone. Now, through his music, he weaves a compelling narrative of resilience and pays homage to honor his family name.

DJ Zimbo has been DJing for over a decade in all sorts of venues. Being a Fort Collins resident DJ at Bondi Beach Bar in Old Town and the official DJ for the Colorado Eagles are just the beginning of his accomplishments. He has also played a variety of events across Colorado, including afrbeats events representing his home country of Zimbabwe.
