About the Instructor:

Born and raised in Sierra Leone, Ella Kanu discovered her love for dance at just six years old. After moving to the United States in 2014, she continued to grow her passion and later began dancing professionally in 2020. Since then, she has had the opportunity to perform with major artists such as Davido, King Promise, and Kcee.

Her dance style is rooted in Afro dance, and she is trained and continues to actively train in styles such as Azonto, Coupé-Décalé, and Nigerian street dance. Through her movement, Ella expresses culture, energy, confidence, and joy, celebrating the beauty of African rhythm while continuing to grow as an artist and performer.

Info: We’ll begin with a guided warm-up to get the body moving and set the tone for class. This is our time to shake off tension, get comfortable in the space, and prepare to learn and move confidently.

Info: Next, we’ll build your Azonto dance foundation with fun, dynamic steps, body awareness, and a touch of cultural context that brings each move to life.

Info: In the second half, we’ll put it all together through choreography that challenges you to apply your technique, feel the music, and express your individuality. Expect a supportive environment where you can push yourself, have fun, and let your confidence shine.
