+BEGINNER CLASS: 2-3:15PM (no experience needed!)

Learn the foundations, essential grooves, rhythms, and signature movements that define one of Africa’s most influential dance style.

+INT/ADV CLASS: 3:30-5PM

Designed for dancers ready to explore more intricate footwork, combinations, and choreography.

About the Instructor:

Adjo "Ornella" Degboe is a Togolese-born choreographer, cultural educator, entrepreneur, and the founder of AfroDanceSchool, a platform dedicated to documenting, preserving, and teaching African dance through movement, storytelling, and community engagement. Through initiatives such as STAMPS, Learn-A-Step, and AfroDanceUniversity, she explores the history and cultural significance of African dance styles while making them accessible to global audiences. Guided by the belief that movement is a living archive, Adjo's work bridges dance, media, education, and cultural preservation, creating experiences that connect people to the stories, traditions, and communities behind the movement. She is also the founder of By.Adjo, a luxury wellness brand rooted in ritual, self-care, and intentional living.
