Hey, do you Maracatu?
Maracatu derives from the same origin as the Samba, from the musical tradition of the Bantu population in the southern Central Africa.
Here we share a living tradition of Maracatu locally to promote social inclusion, break cultural barriers and facilitate community building & engagement
During our workshops we teach rhythm, song & movement at regular workshop series. Our style is traced through the lineage of groups - or “Nations” - such as Maracatu Estrela Brilhante de Recife, Maracatu Leão Coroado and others.
