DJEMBE DOTTORE
As a teenager Robert Tydrych began playing percussion instruments. Fascinated by the djembe drum, he studied the music of West Africa and as his passion developed, he travelled to West Africa to further his knowledge of the music of the region.
Currently he lives in Amsterdam where conducts weekly djembe lessons, workshops and integration meetings with the African drums. This evening he will present a group of his students.
DUEGRO
DUEGRO is a new formation from three different worlds: Alex from Greece, Ego from Nigeria and Robert from Poland. They play a mix of Afrobeat, Soul and Highlife. Instruments: percussion, guitar, vocals and drum loops.
The songs and music of DUEGRO take you on a journey through the dark part of Africa. The stirring vocal rhythms and melodies of DUEGRO put you in a trance, and it is therefore impossible to sit still. DUEGRO plays traditional and contemporary music. Their singing is based on everyday life, nature and people.
