FAQ's:
Q: Can my kids come?
A: The workshops are designed for adults due to the facilitation style, time of night and duration. Participating kids 12+ are welcome to attend with a participating adult (If you are looking for kids drumming, try NCMA where they offer bucket drumming and pro-beat workshops)
Q: I haven't got rhythm
A: If you have a heartbeat, you have rhythm. Drumming in a group makes it easier to get out of your head and into your body, and tap into your natural sense of rhythm. It doesn't matter if it takes a while, you are in the right place!
Q: What can I expect from these workshops?
A: A relaxed, fun and inclusive workshop where you are encouraged to bring a non-judgmental mindset. A facilitator with over 20 years experience.
Q: Do I need a drum?
A: Bring your own drum if you've got one and want to play it, otherwise use one of ours. We have only run out once in 9 years, but it pays to register via our website so we can keep track of numbers. If we are short on drums, preference will be given to those who have registered.
Q: I've got an injury/arthritis/pain, will it be OK for me?
A: Best to talk to a medical professional. You are welcome to come and give it a try before you commit to the whole term. We have percussion instruments to play if you find the drumming doesn't work for you.
Q: Do you offer a discount for pensioners, students or unemployed?
A:: I would always rather you come along and participate, if cost is a barrier please contact me privately prior to the workshop (call, email, messenger or text) and we can discuss what is possible.
