About this Event
Are you looking for a local activity to socialise and learn new musical skills?
Join our weekly African drum classes where you will learn to play the djembe : a traditional drum from West Africa.
The class is delivered every Thursdays for 6 weeks, followed by one-week break, until the summer school holidays.
Are you a beginner? Why not come at 6.30 pm! You will learn the basics of playing drums: rhythm, beat, sound quality and how to improvise.
From 7.30pm till 8.30pm we welcome those with basic knowledge and more advanced level. You will join our friendly community of drummers, and will learn knowledge and traditions of African drumming.
Drums are provided but if you have one at home, you can bring it!
If you have any questions, send me an email: [email protected] or text me at 07 523 904471.
I'm Noel, a professional percussionist from West Africa. I have more than 10 years experience teaching djembe to children and adults, and I'm currently delivering African drum classes in various schools across London.
Safety measures:
- We'll respect social distancing guidelines.
- We ask you to clean your hands before touching the drum.
- If you have any symptoms, please take care of yourself and stay at home.
- Feel free to wear a face mask.
We retain the right to cancel or postpone the event 12 hours before the event to follow the government's guidelines.
