Hailing from Ghana, West Africa, Tuza is a spectacular performer, a passionate teacher and the visionary founder of the world-renowned Salaka Ensemble. An expert in Traditional West African Music, Tuza brings the profound history and rich heart of his ancestry directly to you. In this interactive and high-energy workshop, Tuza shares his extensive knowledge, deep-rooted experience, and lifelong passion for rhythm. Whether you are striking a drum for the first time or looking to deepen your skills, his expert leadership ensures an uplifting, powerful, and unforgettable musical journey.
EZEKIEL “EZI” BORTEI
Originally from Ghana, Ezi began his professional journey at age 10 with the Junior Salaka Ensemble. Since bringing his world-class talents to Australia, he has toured nationally - electrifying major music festivals, community events, schools, and corporate workshops alike. Ezi is a rare, all-round artist who seamlessly jumps from dynamic drumming to high-energy dancing mid-performance. Known for his infectious smile and captivating stage presence, Ezi brings unmatched energy and fun to every workshop. In this session, you will learn a Traditional West African Dance in an inclusive, high-spirited environment. Ezi expertly accommodates all skill levels, ensuring that everyone, from absolute beginners to seasoned dancers have an unforgettable time.

1/ Join us for an energetic, hands-on Djembe Drumming Workshop built for all levels! Discover the power of West African rhythm, release some stress, and make music with an amazing community.
2/ Feel the beat, find your groove, and dive into a world of rhythm! Join us for a lively and welcoming Traditional West African Dance Workshop where movement, storytelling, and joyful music come together—accompanied by the incredible energy of live drumming!
3/ Discover the rhythm of Ghana with the Kpanlogo, Accra’s ultimate "drum of passion!" Originating with the Ga people in the 1950s, this high-energy West African drum is the heartbeat of celebration, youth, and independence.
Attention seasoned drummers: This workshop introduces a new hand-drumming style featuring the funky Kpanlogo Rhythm. While you can use a Djembe, you will also have the opportunity to play bells and shakers to collectively create an upbeat, fun, and energetic rhythm.

🥁 No Djembe, no problem, available for hire.
