African American Male Wellness Ride

This ride is open to ALL the cycling clubs show up and share the strength of our community!
Best parking at the Wolfe Park Tennis courts and take trail to Major Taylor plaque.
We will roll out from the Major Taylor plaque in Nelson Park at 8:45 a.m. sharp. Or you may meet us at the starting line at 9:30 a.m.
Event: African American Wellness Ride to the Walk
Date: Saturday, August 8, 2026.
Health screenings begin at 7:00 a.m., and the ride starts at 10:00 a.m.
New Location: King-Lincoln District (Long Street Bridge Cap)
Pre-Screening: Arrive early for complimentary health screenings, including blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, HIV, STIs, and prostate cancer screenings.
Attire: Wear your favorite cycling club kit or wear your Unity Cycling kit if you have it.
Activities: The event is a 5k walk/run to raise awareness.
There will be two routes:
Route 1 - Camp Chase Trail to Amy's Donuts (~20 miles)
Route 2 - Camp Chase and beyond (Metric Century west)
Routes will be posted prior to the ride.
