Pōneke whānau, you are all invited!
Join us for a special edition of ‘The African Book Club’, a regular monthly book club that celebrates Africa and its diaspora in art and literature. Every month our participants meet to discuss the books and art that is shaping the conversation around the continent that is often forgotten.
In our final session for the year, we are excited to host 𝐓𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐢 𝐌𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐮, 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐫𝐨 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐮𝐧𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐀𝐝𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐞 for a special panel conversation and Q&A. The discussion will center African-New Zealand art and literature in the past, present, and future.
This event is proudly supported by Songs of Solidarity and Tender Press. It is part of the 2026 Songs of Solidarity festival - Anthems of Resistance which takes place from November 12 – 29.
With special thanks to Black Creatives Aotearoa and Tō Tātou Pōneke.
