This panel will bring together diverse voices and sector experts to explore how fundraising practices can reflect and advance principles of inclusion, diversity, equity, and access (IDEA).
Panel:
- Tamara Craver, CEO & President of Reality Changers
- Amenah Gulamhusein, Senior Director, Strategic Initiatives, San Diego Foundation
- Nishma Held, Civic Leader
Panel Objectives:
- Integrate DEI into Fundraising Practices: Panelists will share ways to embed equity into fundraising strategies, donor and board engagement, and organizational culture.
- Engage Diverse Donor Communities: Through real-world examples, speakers will discuss challenges nonprofits face in reaching and sustaining relationships with underrepresented donor groups, while highlighting solutions that lead to more authentic and lasting connections.
- Build Inclusive Fundraising Teams and Cultures: The conversation will showcase best practices for recruiting, retaining, and supporting diverse development professionals, while fostering organizational cultures that value every perspective and lived experience.
This session is designed for nonprofit leaders, fundraisers, and board members who want to strengthen their organizations’ commitment to IDEA and ensure that fundraising reflects the diverse communities they serve.
