Aspirus is inviting the community to attend a free educational seminar focused on atrial fibrillation, commonly known as AFib, a serious heart rhythm disorder that significantly increases the risk of stroke and heart failure.This community talk is designed to help individuals better understand AFib, recognize common symptoms such as heart palpitations and dizziness, and learn about available treatment options. Aspirus heart care specialists will explain how AFib affects the body and why early detection and proper management are critical.
The event will feature John Johnkoski, MD and Andrew Mykytsey, MD, who will provide perspectives on both procedural and medical management of AFib. Dr. Johnkoski specializes in surgical and hybrid approaches to treating heart rhythm conditions, while Dr. Mykytsey focuses on diagnosing and managing arrhythmias using catheter-based and non-surgical techniques.
