Why Now?

Afghan government collapsed and so did the crippling healthcare system after years of instability, corruption, and lack of funding. 10 million children are already in desperate need of food and medical care for survival. Unicef

What is AAHPUKDoing?

We focus on small, high-impact projects. Provide mobile medical camps in remote provinces for emergency and everyday medical care and survival food packages. We also supply nearly 1000 children suffering from thalassemia¹ with their medicine which they depend on to live and survival food packages. We are independently funded and free to act fast; when some larger organizations have had their funding cut after Taliban takeover, we continued saving lives.

¹ Thalassemia is an inherited blood disorder that causes your body to have less hemoglobin than normal. Hemoglobin enables red blood cells to carry oxygen. Thalassemia can cause anemia, leaving you fatigued. However severe thalassemia may become life-threatening especially if children are malnourished and sick for other reasons patients. Patients need lifelong regular treatment to survive.

Association of Afghan Healthcare Professionals in the UK in partnership with GreenWallet is holding a fundraising event for the harsh winter in Afghanistan.

Art Gallery: Special pieces of art from Afghanistan to be displayed at the event.

Special Guests: List will also include Dr Waheed Arian (NHS), Yalda Hakim (BBC), and some art collectors in addition to UK Healthcare Professionals and Entrepreneurs.
