Afghan Community Listening Session

This is a community conversation for Sacramento residents to voice what government tools and resources they would like to see.

The California Commission on Asian and Pacific Islander American Affairs (CAPIAA), in partnership with the Afghan-American Foundation, is hosting an Afghan Listening Session in Sacramento on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

We want to hear directly from Afghan community leaders and members in Sacramento about what issues are impacting you directly and the types government resources and tools you want to see along with the barriers you face in accessing those resources. Your insights will help us to not only shape state policies but better inform state leaders.
