COURSE SUMMARY: This course begins by discussing affidavit of heirship in general and how they are used to determine a deceased’s intestate heirs. We walk step by step through the Texas statutory form of affidavit and discuss the various provisions and their importance. We then turn to the laws of intestate succession. We first discuss the distinction between community and separate property and then apply the laws of intestate succession to various scenarios. We highlight the change in the intestacy laws since September 1993 and discuss and distinguish between intestate succession when dying married as opposed to dying unmarried. The course ends with a general summary regarding affidavits of heirship and their purpose and allows brief time for questions and answers.

What's the Provider's Cancellation policy? The provider will notify each registered attendee of said cancellation. Acceptable forms of notification include: email, text, or call. Any classes for 3 or fewer registered Realtors maybe subject to cancelation. In situations of inclement weather the provider will notify each registered attendee of cancelation. If the provider cancels a course all funds will be refunded within 30 days of the date of cancellation.
