About this Event

Welcome to the Afficient Academy Math Challenge Competition!

Dear Parents, Afficient Academy is excited to invite students to participate in the Afficient Math Challenge Competition, an excellent opportunity for children to demonstrate their grade-level math skills, challenge themselves beyond their current grade level, and gain confidence in their academic abilities. Through Afficient’s computer-adaptive diagnostic test, students begin at their most recently completed school grade level and advance to higher grades as long as they continue to show strong performance. This competition allows each child to be assessed based on accuracy, proficiency, and the highest grade level achieved, giving parents a clear picture of their child’s current math readiness and potential.

Eligibility

The competitions are open to all students entering Grades 2–10 in Fall 2026, regardless of whether they are currently enrolled in Afficient Academy programs.

Registration is free.

Competition Categories

• Grade-Level Mathematics

Competition Format

• The competitions will be conducted using the Afficient Math Diagnostic Tests.
• The tests are computer-adaptive and adjust to each student's performance level.
• Each student will begin at their most recently completed school grade level.
• Students who demonstrate strong performance will advance to higher grade levels until they reach a grade at which they can no longer maintain strong performance.

Winning Criteria

Students will compete against peers in the same school grade. Rankings will be determined based on the following criteria, in order:

1. Highest grade level achieved on the diagnostic test.
2. Highest proficiency level (region) attained within that grade level.
3. Highest accuracy rate achieved at that grade level.

Awards

All participants who complete the competition will receive a $10 Afficient Scholarship.

The following awards will be presented to the top performers in each competition category across all grade levels:

• First Prize: $200 Afficient Scholarship and a $100 Amazon (or equivalent) gift card
• Second Prize: $100 Afficient Scholarship and a $50 Amazon (or equivalent) gift card
• Third Prize: $50 Afficient Scholarship and a $25 Amazon (or equivalent) gift card

In addition, all high-achieving participants will receive a Certificate of Achievement.

Afficient Scholarships may be applied toward tuition for Afficient Academy courses within three months of the competition date.
