Aether Cinema and Disko are partnering with Erica Luo and Jhoza Tenorio for a special film screening to raise funds for the HerStart Catalyst Fund!

The HerStart Catalyst Fund provides funding, training, and resources to women in Tanzania, Ghana, and Uganda, helping them create their own businesses, strengthen local communities, and build resilient, inclusive economies.

The Burial of Kojo (2018), by Ghanaian filmmaker Blitz Bazawule, tells the story of a man trapped in a mine shaft while his daughter embarks on a magical journey to rescue him. The film blends magic realism, social commentary, and neo-colonialism, all grounded in Ghanaian culture and spirituality.
