Aesthetics, Pattern & Design with Knightmare

Social Media is full of beautifully designed rope harnesses and patterns fit for magazines, but how do you make them look like that? What's the secret? Well, we're bringing in a local rope artist, Knightmare to help you figure it all out! This workshop will guide you on how to start your journey towards building and designing your own harnesses as well as others.

The workshop is open to everyone (18+), no previous rope knowledge is required.

Venue is located down the street from Union Square, inside a newly renovated private studio.

Instructor Bio:

Knightmare has been a member of the kink scene for a decade, and has been involved primarily in the rope community for the majority of it. He enjoys focusing on ground work, especially when it comes to corsets, patterns and design. He’s recently started his journey towards learning suspension and expanding his overall rope knowledge profile.

In this workshop the following topics will be covered:

• The How-to's of starting your rope design journey
• Beginner harness
• Intermediate harness
• Advanced harness

What to bring:

• 2-3 hanks of rope (each preferably 30ft long). Don't worry if you don't have any, we will have communal rope to borrow. Rope will also be available to buy.

What to wear:

• We recommend athleisure wear, it’s readily available, affordable and good for almost all occasions when it comes to tying.

Can I attend solo, or should I bring a partner?

• Solo attendees are welcome, but we recommend bringing a partner to tie with.

Rules & Waiver:

• All new attendees to Gotham Rigging MUST sign the prior to attending any workshops or events
• Please remember this is a workshop and NOT a play party
• We are a dry and substance free space. No alcohol, smoking/vaping allowed
• Please be respectful and don’t fly your kink-flag outside
• Even though the studio is private, we have a fully clothed policy, so please dress accordingly. We recommend athleisure wear
• There will be communal rope to borrow during the lounge if you don't have any. Rope is also available to purchase at cost
• Practice affirmative consent. DO NOT touch anyone or their belongings without asking! This is a 1-strike policy
