Aesthetics on teeth and gums

Overview:

This workshop will take participants on a journey through the different techniques of individualization of highly aesthetic prostheses. We will focus on dental ceramics applied onto zirconium structure. Additionally, participants will expand their knowledge base and construction strategies for metal-free restorations. 

This program will also provide an in-depth analysis of the concepts of light and color. Saturation, value and translucency contrasts will be highlighted through effective hands-on exercises to provide solutions when determining color in the applications listed below. 
 
COVERED MAKEUP is a makeup technique covered by a thin layer of enamel, with which highly aesthetic and natural restorations are achieved with controlled reflection surfaces. 
 
ADVANCED Gingival LAYERING, study of the different ceramic masses combining the bases of conventional layered construction with the contribution of saturated ceramic masses to achieve natural three-dimensional gums with control of contraction and expressiveness. 

The program will guide you step-by-step in the following concepts: 

1- theory of Light 
2-morphology and design 
3-dentogingival stratification 
4-COVERED MAKEUP 
5-External makeup 
6-finishing and mechanical polishing 

In this course, you will learn more about the following themes:

• Understand and perform additive texture techniques  
• Enhance material by external make-up and layering techniques 
• Create natural aesthetics using macro and micro texture

Instructor: Mariano Maurizi

Mariano Maurizi is a Master Dental Technician from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was the Director at LAMAU from 1999-2008, a Manager, specializing in aesthetics and rehabilitation, at Western Dental Laboratory from 2009-2015 followed by a Managing Partner at SDMM Beunos Aires and Mar del Plata. He served as a Full Prosthesis Professor at Unversidad Maimónides, Argentina until 2019. 

Mariano is an international lecturer in the area of dental aesthetics providing education in over 50 countries. He is the author of 4_espheres technique and the COVERED MAKEUP technique. He has published many peer-reviewed articles. Mariano is the Co-founder of Clínica Estética Dental Lasota-Maurizi MDQ.
