About this Event

The 2025 Early Career Day will take place on 22nd January in Teagasc Ashtown.
Following the same format as last year, this year's edition will include two types of sessions: standard and discussion papers.Standard paper session: 10 min presentation + 5 min Q&ADiscussion paper session: 15 min presentation + 3 min discussant + 5 min Q&A
Abstract submissions from postdoctoral researchers and PhD students are welcome on economic and social research in the fields of agriculture, food, the environment and rural development.

Key conference highlights include:

  • Presentations on economic and social research in the areas of agriculture, the environment, food and development from PhD students and postdoctoral researchers
  • A panel session on 'Networking and Building Research Collaborations' (Dr Maeve Henchion, Teagasc, Dr Maura Farrell, University of Galway, and Dr Stacey Kelly, University College Dublin)
  • The Bob O'Connor prize for the best PhD presentation.
