Are you ready to add a new dimension to your yoga offering?
Join us for an intensive Continuing Education course designed to equip qualified yoga teachers with the skills, safety protocols, and creative sequencing required to teach Aerial Yoga. Inspired by the fluidity of contemporary aerial arts and the grounding principles of traditional hatha yoga, this course explores how the silk hammock can be used as a powerful tool for both decompression and deep strengthening.
What the course covers:
-Understanding rig safety, hammock heights, and weight-bearing physics to ensure a safe environment for all bodies.
-How to adapt traditional postures (inversions, backbands, and balances) using the swing to deepen the stretch and build core stability. This will be supported by our detailed training manual.
-Specialised focus on spinal decompression and pelvic alignment, exploring how the hammock supports the body in ways traditional mat work cannot and the strengthening potential that aerial can provide.
-True to the Heart Space mission, we will explore how to use the aerial silk as an assistive tool for those with limited mobility, making "flying" accessible to more people. Techniques for low-flow and "cocooning" meditations, utilising the hammock for nervous system regulation and deep relaxation.
Led by Finlay, this CE provides a comprehensive manual, hands-on rigging experience, and a certificate of completion. Whether you want to lead high-energy fitness flows or therapeutic restorative sessions, you will leave with the confidence to lead your students safely into the air.
