This 2 hour workshop is focused on one of the most beautiful elements of circus choreography: MUSICALITY - the embodiment of music! Through floor and aerial exercises, you will develop awareness of various components of music, learn to embody music through movement, and begin to incorporate musicality as a foundation of your aerial practice and performance. Pre-reqs: The workshop is open to participants of all skill levels, experiences, and aerial apparatuses.

About Eliana:
ELIANA is a former Vancouver-based aerialist, artist and musician, specializing in dance trapeze, static trapeze, aerial hoop and Yiddish singing. Since her move to Germany in 2018, she has learned, taught, and graced stages throughout Europe. Her extensive performance experience has brought her to appear as a soloist with the Dresden Philharmonic and the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, and in 2023 she founded the musical circus ensemble Tsirk Dobranotch with the internationally renowned klezmer band Dobranotch. Eliana’s signature inter-disciplinary performances combine circus, music, and performance art. She is now excited to return to BC and to bring you her favourite techniques of aerial musicality that she has been cultivating over her years of travel!
